Political Science – Public Administration (BA)

Political Science – Public Administration Degree Overview

The Public Administration concentration in the Political Science program at Thomas College is focused on a career-oriented path. The concentration incorporates a mix of courses from the political science suite, accounting, finance, and management. The concentration allows students to take specialty courses, including classes from a consortium of colleges, that then would develop a stronger career path in public administration. Students within this program can go on to work in policy formulation, analysis and implementation, work for a government agency, the government service sector or a non-profit organization, be a government manger, or be a city planner. This could also help prepare students to study in a master’s program in public administration after graduation. With Thomas College’s close proximity to the state capital, Augusta, there are many opportunities for internships and jobs for this program.
